What a sultry, red-hot evening in support of Halifax’s first freestanding residential hospice! From the night’s shared stories on the importance of hospice care to the laughs and embraces on the dance floor and the photo booth, our guests wore their hearts on their sleeves.
We heart our attendees, Friends of Hospice, and committed event sponsors — about 475 people — who came together for the Feeling the Love Valentine’s Dinner & Dance Party on February 11, 2017 to raise about $62,000 in net proceeds.
We send a love-ly shout out to the phenomenal Audrey Parker, our guest speaker. Diagnosed with stage four cancer and planning her end-of-life celebration, Audrey shared an uplifting and positive message with us about the final chapter in her journey.
We heartily acknowledge our event committee, organizers, volunteers, and the talented and crowd-pleasing Patrick Ledwell, The Mellotones, and Sasha Muise & the Double Sharps for their work in hosting the evening at The Westin Nova Scotian.
Your collective support is helping Hospice Halifax move forward in the construction planning and reimagining for the Francklyn Street properties. Thank you!
