In Celebration of 60 Years in Business, Lindsay Construction Announces $100,000 Donation to Hospice Halifax

November 29th, 2019 (Halifax, Nova Scotia) – Today, Lindsay Construction marked 60 years in business with a gift of $100,000 to Hospice Halifax.

As part of the company’s ongoing focus on giving back to their communities across Atlantic Canada, Lindsay Construction identified this cause as one that resonated strongly with employees, clients and their families. Hospice Halifax opened its 10-bed hospice residence this past spring and is well on its way to supporting over 150 Nova Scotian patients at end of life and 1,800 family members and friends every year.

“Philanthropy is the cornerstone of our company’s DNA. For the last 60 years, across sectors and industries, we have become part of our communities across the region. Our goal is to ensure we create everlasting connections with both our projects and people,” comments Lindsay Construction President and CEO, Cory Bell.

This gift is part of a legacy of other gifts to organizations in the region, aligning with causes that support education, community growth, health and innovation.

Gordon Neal, CEO, Hospice Halifax states, “Lindsay Construction is long-known for their commitment to community, which we have seen first hand. Lindsay Construction built our hospice, and our patients, families, and volunteers often mention how grateful they are to access such a beautiful and welcoming space. We’re so pleased Lindsay Construction helped create this important legacy for Nova Scotians.”

Mayor Mike Savage adds, “I commend the Lindsay Construction team for their unwavering commitment to their communities. They are an outstanding example of what it means to give back and create impact.”
