The cuddle beds fill me with a lot of joy. Even though I’m really sad he’s not with me, it does make me feel like we are doing something together to give back to the place that gave us so much.

Help us reach our fundraising goal to offer cuddle beds and the care surrounding them at Hospice Halifax.

  • $28 Could provide one hour of care
  • $90 Could provide a meaningful experience for a child like Avery and their loved one
  • $672 Could provide one full day of care
  • $17,500 Could provide one cuddle bed

When Rob Keith’s illness progressed to where he was confined to bed, creating new routines in bed with his wife, Tasha, and nine-year-old daughter, Avery, became a profound source of comfort and familiarity for their family.

Whether they were watching movies, or Avery was nestled up with a book or tablet beside her daddy, being able to have physical closeness during Rob’s final days was special.

Cuddle beds are care beds that extend to accommodate loved ones, so that they can lie beside their person in care and offer a physical source of support.

By introducing cuddle beds into the residence, Hospice Halifax can provide this quality time of closeness and support to families like the Keiths for years to come.
