Children and Youth Grief Support Music Therapy
The children and youth grief-support music therapy sessions will use music therapy interventions such as song writing, music listening, singing, instrument playing and improvisation to create space for emotional and self expression, and exploration. Sessions will be client-centered, and therefore tailored to the specific goals of each individual. Music therapy sessions will be facilitated by certified music therapist (MTA), Kristi Anderson.
- Open to children aged 5-15 who have experienced the death of a parent, immediate caregiver, or sibling.
- Music therapy sessions available in-person only.
- Sessions will be one-to-one for children/youth.
- The program length includes 6 sessions free of charge.

How to Access
To self-refer, please call us to complete a short intake between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
There are 4 available openings per 12 week cycle – if the sessions are full you will be added to our waitlist and contacted when a space becomes available.
