After volunteering as a bereavement group facilitator for a year, Mackenzie joined Hospice Halifax as a staff member in June of 2021. She has a BA in Psychology and Thanatology — the study of death and dying. Recently achieving her CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive), Mackenzie has a passion for philanthropy. Outside of Hospice Halifax, Mackenzie enjoys exploring Nova Scotia (a born Ontarian, but don’t hold it against her) and all things crafting, especially knitting and sewing.
