Selma was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. Starting her journey in Canada in 2015, graduated from the Licensed Practical Nurse program from College de l’Île in PEI in 2018. Being able to communicate in Spanish, English and French, she enjoys providing kind, compassionate care to patients and families since becoming involved with Hospice Halifax in 2019. In her nursing career Selma has gained experience working in settings that include long-term care, assisted living, home-care and acute care settings. Outside of nursing, she likes spending time with her dogs, preparing meals for her loved ones, traveling and going for walks discovering Nova Scotia. Among her friends, Selma is known to enjoy a good music concert, foreign movies and learning about different cultures.
